Lake Natoma Picnic (May Birthday Meet). 5/23/09

Details:

WHEN: Saturday May 23rd - 3 pm

WHERE: Nimbus Flat State Park on Lake Natoma.

WHAT: Picnicking and Swimming

Picnic is pot luck.

Carpooling is recommended since a day use fee of $8 per vehicle applies.

Alternative parking options for those who can’t carpool all the way there are:

• Park and Ride lot at park entrance (signage says it’s for commuter use ONLY and not for park visitors. unknown how that’s enforced since there are no apparent cameras)
• Nimbus Fish Hatchery (parking cost undetermined at this time)
• Nimbus dam Overlook (located across the river parking is $3)
• Hazel light rail station (signage says parking is for transit users only, but it’s a weekend and unknown how they determine which car’s belong to riders for enforcement purposes.)

For whatever option chosen pickup and transit over to the park can be arranged.
