WHERE: Classic Burgers in Natomas.

WHAT: Fooding, with the possibility of games afterward.

Lake Natoma Picnic (May Birthday Meet). 5/23/09

Details:

WHEN: Saturday May 23rd - 3 pm

WHERE: Nimbus Flat State Park on Lake Natoma.

WHAT: Picnicking and Swimming

Picnic is pot luck.

Carpooling is recommended since a day use fee of $8 per vehicle applies.

Alternative parking options for those who can’t carpool all the way there are:

• Park and Ride lot at park entrance (signage says it’s for commuter use ONLY and not for park visitors. unknown how that’s enforced since there are no apparent cameras)
• Nimbus Fish Hatchery (parking cost undetermined at this time)
• Nimbus dam Overlook (located across the river parking is $3)
• Hazel light rail station (signage says parking is for transit users only, but it’s a weekend and unknown how they determine which car’s belong to riders for enforcement purposes.)

For whatever option chosen pickup and transit over to the park can be arranged.

Whole Earth Festival - May 9th 2009

Details:

When: Sat runs all day (8am - 10pm)

What: An Earthday like festival on the Davis Campus with free music and entertainment and interesting vendor booths

Where: Davis on the school campus
